Park Connector Network

I've been wanting to try out the Park Connector Network (PCN) since I bought my bike last Dec. So finally this morning I ventured out to Whampoa Park Connector. A friend told me it's the worst of the lot. ^^;

I started from Toa Payoh Town Garden where I had to cross the overhead bridge by carrying the bike. The PCN was ok initially, but thereafter got construction work here and there. When I hit CTE, had to cross a bridge again. This time round got rails for pushing the bike, but quite useless IMHO. Then I got lost for a while, and finally I gave up and went St George's Road -> Serangoon Road -> Kallang Park Connector. The same friend told me this's the second worst...

The PIE overhead bridge is a killer! Need to go up twice the height due to straddling the flyover. After crossing the bridge, it's Potong Pasir, then hit CTE again. I find the tunnel a bit low; the height clearance is only 1.8m. But heck, I will take a tunnel over an overhead bridge anytime.

Just before I hit Braddell Road, saw an old cyclist playing with a beautiful green parrot. Did not bring along my camera handphone else could have taken a picture. To cross Braddell Road, need to go up another overhead bridge with rails. Not really relishing another hard climb, I decided to call it a day and proceeded home sweet home.
